Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh blackberries
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • One can store-bought biscuit dough
  • Coarse sugar (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine blackberries, sugar, all-purpose flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
  3. Select 4 individual ramekins or a deep 9x9” baking dish. Add your blackberry mixture to the dish(es), leaving a small space to add the biscuits on top.
  4. Cut biscuit dough into quarters. Layer the biscuits on top of the blackberry mixture.
  5. (Optional) Sprinkle coarse sugar on the biscuits for a sweet crunch.
  6. Bake until the fruit is bubbling and the biscuits are golden brown, about 30 minutes.
  7. Let cool before enjoying!
