Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh blackberries
- ½ cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ lemon, juiced
- One can store-bought biscuit dough
- Coarse sugar (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Combine blackberries, sugar, all-purpose flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
- Select 4 individual ramekins or a deep 9x9” baking dish. Add your blackberry mixture to the dish(es), leaving a small space to add the biscuits on top.
- Cut biscuit dough into quarters. Layer the biscuits on top of the blackberry mixture.
- (Optional) Sprinkle coarse sugar on the biscuits for a sweet crunch.
- Bake until the fruit is bubbling and the biscuits are golden brown, about 30 minutes.
